Chanakya Biography
Chanakya is also called Vishnugupta He was born in a Brahmin Family in 371 BC and he was ancient Indian teacher, Philosopher, economist, jurist and royal adviser. He was great ancient economist of India. He was born in Chanaka village at Gola region and his wife name was Chaneshwari. His father's name was Chanak. Chanakya played very important role in Gupta Empire. He was highly learned person with in depth knowledge in various subjects. Chanakya was a brahmin and he got his education from the ancient university Takshashila. Later he also become a teacher there. He went on to become a trusted ally of Emperor. He was an adviser of Chandragupta Maur. He was very important person of the maurya Dynasty. In Magadha region and helped Chandragupta consolidate his powers. Chanakya also served as adviser of Chandragupta's son Bindusara. It is also believed that he was familiar with elements of Greek and Persian learning. He was fully knowledge of all subjects and he became a teacher of political science and economics at Takshashila. In present time, Takshashila is in Pakistan. Under the guidance of Chanakya, Maurya Empire became the largest empire of that time. Later Chanakya chose Bindusara son of Chandragupta. He remained as the adviser of Bindusara. Chanakya is author of Arthashastra and Chanakya -Niti. Arthashastra is a book of economics and it very effective book. Chanakya-Niti is famous all over the world and people follow this and they are become successful. Many serials and films are made on the story of Chanakya and many books are written about Chanakya.
